I normally/rarely ever create long blog posts or even blog posts about myself or 1013MM in general, but I want to use this post to send a BIG THANK YOU to all my viewers, critics, friends, and family. This is going to turn out to be one of those long and cliche thank you posts, but I don’t care, I really want to thank everyone who has seen my work, commented on my work, and supported my work. To the people who have supported me since day 1, thank you. To the people who are just recognizing my work, thank you and please continue to do so in the future! To everyone who has yet to see my work, but will read this post int he future, thank you. Seriously, without everyone, there would be no me.

I recently received a surprise in the mail. The July 2010 issue of BMW Performance Magazine…





Yes, this is a magazine. Yes, this is a pretty popular magazine. Yes, my MFEST IV photos are in it with a 5 page spread. Yes, they spelled my name wrong (John Zang haha). No, I am not on the front page, but my goal is to be! It’s things like these that make my work much more enjoyable and my daily photo workflow much, much more bearable than it already is :)

The surprises don’t end there… I recently woke up to an overloaded email inbox and many texts from friends that BMW themselves had featured my shoot of Charles’ BMW M3 on their Facebook fan page! This was really and truly amazing! I am very humbled by this, words really can’t even describe how I felt. All I can say is that it was a very positive feeling :)

As a gift to you and all my other viewers, here are some wallpapers I made with their respective owners’ permission, for everyone and anyone to download. I’ve never done this before, so just be patient if my server crashes or something haha. I had trouble coming up with default wallpaper sizes so I decided to just release large enough wallpaper for download so everyone could resize them themselves. Enjoy!

Lastly, for those who have keen eyes, you may have realized that I’ve been hammering out subtle changes throughout this blog for the past couple of weeks. So I want to end with a survey. If you could kindly complete this poll so I know how to improve this blog, I would again really appreciate it!!

It’s been nearly a year that I’ve since released and published this blog online and I must say it’s been a great one! I rarely look at stats, but I must say it’s been an extreme improvement!
